Dallas College Launches Innovative 
Medical Assistant Apprenticeship

The demand for skilled medical assistants (MAs) far exceeds the current hiring pool. But innovative Industry-Recognized Apprenticeship Programs (IRAPs) can help solve the problem.

Hiring, training and retaining skilled MAs are ongoing challenges, but Dallas College has found a way to combat them. Learn how Amy Mackenroth and Krista Watkins partnered with NHA to roll out an IRAP that offers quality instruction, on-the-job training, and NHA credentials. This IRAP also helps to bridge the gap for rural health systems facing unique staffing and upskilling challenges.
