New NHA Career Bridge Scholarship Program to Empower Emerging Allied Health Professionals

Written by Jessica Salley | May 2018

NHA is proud to offer a new scholarship that helps bridge the gap between certification and employment. The NHA Career Bridge Scholarship seeks to reward aspiring professionals who go above and beyond to help others while pursuing their certification and applications for the first scholarship are now open.

The Spring 2018 NHA Career Bridge Scholarship focuses on aspiring healthcare professionals who have passed an NHA certification exam between July 1, 2017, and the scholarship deadline, June 29, 2018, and are seeking employment or career advancement as an allied health professional, such as Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician or Phlebotomist.

The winner will receive a cash prize of $1,000, a career counseling session and an opportunity to pay-it-forward by designating the allied health training program of their choice to receive $500 cash to assist with clinical supplies and resources for the classroom. The scholarship winner will also be profiled on NHA's website and social media properties.

Scholarship applications must include at least one letter of nomination from a peer, former instructor or school leadership for the applicant. An independent selection committee will score candidates based on their submitted materials.
