District of Columbia Pharmacy Technician Regulatory Update

Effective 11/20/15, the District of Columbia Board of Pharmacy adopted regulations that require pharmacy technicians and technician trainees to register with the Board.
      Technician registration eligibility includes:

      • High school diploma (or equivalent) or pass a Board-approved examination and
      • Current certification from NHA or PTCB or another Board-approved organization or
      • Completion of a Board-approved training program.
