A blog for NHA Employers and Educators

Why NHA is Giving Thanks this Thanksgiving

As we approach Thanksgiving, we'd like to take an opportunity to thank everyone in the NHA community — educators, employers, students and certification holders. We're grateful to our partners who help us fulfill our mission of empowering people to access a better future.

Here are four reasons we are especially thankful to our partners this year.

Together, we're creating a stronger healthcare workforce

The healthcare workforce is made stronger through education and training. It is an honor to work with educators, employers and certified professionals to help bridge workforce readiness and employment gaps, helping to strengthen healthcare teams across the country.

We are improving the quality of patient care

Our educator and employer partners work hard to teach and train learners, helping them build skills and giving them the knowledge they need to serve patients with a high-quality of care. At NHA, we work with our partners to provide learners with access to allied health certifications, which demonstrate a nationally recognized measurement of competency. It's this powerful combination of education, training and certification that brings us together.  We all are impacting the quality of patient care.

You inspire us from the front lines of healthcare

One of the best things about NHA is we are mission-driven. We come to work every day motivated to help career dreams come true through the power of education, training and certification. It has become a tradition to share a success story from an NHA-certified allied health professional during our monthly business meetings. As an organization, we get great joy and inspiration from hearing testimonials from those whose lives have been changed for the better because they are #NHACertified. We are incredibly grateful to our certification holders whose stories help us continue to focus on our mission.

We are honored to advocate for the professions we serve

We're so grateful to have the opportunity to help increase awareness of the professions we serve and impact change at a national and state level. Through advocacy efforts and strategic partnerships, we have the opportunity to help pave the way for allied health professionals to achieve their dreams.

We also want to give an extra "thank you" to the healthcare professionals who will be working on the holiday. We all know that illness doesn't take a vacation, and we're especially thankful for your commitment to caring for people. After all, we are all patients.
