With the growing market need to employ more allied health professionals, National Healthcareer Association (NHA) has released its 2019 Industry Outlook, which wasconducted as part of its third edition of access™: an allied health industry journal. The research gathered data and insights from employers, seeking to understand their needs and the attributes of their most successful allied health professionals.
Specialty certificate program teaches fundamental skills to help every member of the care team effectively engage, educate, and motivate patients for lasting behavioral changes
LEAWOOD, Kan. (May 1, 2019)– The National Healthcareer Association (NHA) is pleased to announce the launch of Principles of Health Coaching™, its newest online specialty certificate program that empowers current and future clinical care professionals with health coaching skills they can incorporate in their everyday practice to improve patient engagement and adherence. The new certificate program provides every member of the care team with more accessible learning and practice resources through self-paced, interactive eLearning modules and motivational interviewing simulation.
Virginia’s economy has a skills gap, and it’s not alone. There simply aren’t enough credentialed workers to fill the open jobs in practically every state, according to the National Skills Coalition.
Together with the California Pharmacist Association (CPhA), NHA announces the inaugural California Pharmacy Technician Recognition Program. The awards will be presented live at Western Pharmacy Exchange Annual Conference on April 13thduring the CPhA Awards Ceremony Luncheon from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. “Recognizing high performing innovators amongst pharmacy technicians, technician educators and employers is an important way to elevate the pharmacy technician profession,” said Jessica Langley, Executive Director of Education and Advocacy at NHA.
