California professionals now have another certification option in growing field
LEAWOOD, Kan. (November 2, 2016) – The state of California now recognizes National Healthcareer Association’s (NHA) Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT®) as a pathway to licensure in this growing field. Prior to the California State Board of Pharmacy (the Board) approving the ExCPT on October 27, the state accepted only one such certification option.California Approves National Healthcareer Association Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam

New Mexico Pharmacy Technician Regulatory Update
The New Mexico Board of Pharmacy has adopted rules that allow certified pharmacy technicians to perform data input at remote practice sites. They must be registered with the Board as certified pharmacy technicians and have at least 2 years of experience performing data entry functions as certified pharmacy technicians.
